This was Kelsie's 2nd Easter on earth even though she is only 11 and 1/2 months. She was born on Easter last year. Easter is such a wonderful holiday. I love to think about what Jesus Christ has done for us. I know that he is my savior and that he was risen from the tomb, a resurrected being. We have a few pictures of some of the fun things we did to celebrate Easter.
The Easter Bunny brought goodies for the whole family, and Kelsie loved rummaging through it. If you notice the cute little fairy bunny on the right of the basket, Hans later in the morning sat on and maimed my bunny. Now it is one smushed flat chocolate bunny.
We decorated Easter eggs. Hans made an Easter egg that he said was, "A newly hatched lark singing at the top of its lungs to the morning sky." I thought his work was really creative so I tried to pull out the creative juices as well. What I ended up with was a strawberry and Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night(1889)which is one of my favorite paintings. I know that I am a dork but that was the funnest Easter egg decorating I have done in a long time.
We ate dinner at Aunt Nana's house. I had to take a picture of my fruit salad that I made with my melon baller that the Easter Bunny brought me.
Kelsie also went on an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Nana's house. She did such a good job holding her basket and putting the eggs in all by herself. Her eggs were stuffed with Cheerios, Goldfish crackers, and Rice Puffs. We are not quite ready for Kelsie to eat candy yet(if ever).
We decorated more Easter eggs with Nana and these are the finished products. Hans' lark is in the very middle.
